I've been seeing the gradient look and was afraid to try it myself. After a bit of a shopping spree, I had a bright green sweater and bright pink cami that was just screaming for something different with my nails. For my first attempt, I was pleased with the outcome.
Two coats of China Glaze "Sexy Silhouette" and Wet N Wild Color Icon "Give Me a Price Quote" for the gradient tips. In the pics, the gradient glitter looks more gold, but it had the perfect shade of green in it. A nice small glitter with the stringy glitter mixed in.

Wandering Vine & Fresh Frog of Bel Air
You could say I'm a bit obsessed with glitter polishes & Fresh Frog of Bel Air is amazing. (It's a good "Marshall" green, as I like to say.)
One coat of a darker green...Wandering Vine from Orly with two costs of OPI's Fresh Frog of Bel Air. I love the silver hexagon glitter mixed in with the beautiful green.

Deeply In Love & What's Your Poison?
I was in the mood for sparkly red nails earlier this week.
Two costs of Nicole by OPI "Deeply In Love" & one coat of Sephora by OPI "What's Your Poison?".

Designer de-Better & Wocka Wocka
More Muppet OPI colors for this particular day. "Designer de-Better" was the base color on all nails except the accent nail. "Wocka Wocka" was the base color on the accent nail.
The tips of the accent nails were painted opposite, "Designer de-Better" and "Wocka Wocka" was painted on the tips of the rest of my nails.

Wild Night & Tink-Her-Bell
I don't have a lot of Ulta polishes, but with the sales they are having and my coupons, they were really inexpensive so I have these a try.
"Wild Night" is a nice dark blue/teal. I used 2 costs of it and added one coat of a pretty light pink glitter, "Tink-Her-Bell".

Meep, Meep, Meep & How's It Snowin'
The OPI Muppet Collection has some of my favorite colors, especially the glitters. On this day, I used 2 costs of OPI "Meep, Meep, Meep" and 1 coat of OPI "How's It Snowin'" on the accent nail.
My Personal Serpent & Green Ocean
I love the "flakies" polish but hadn't been able to find one to purchase. Silly me. There was one hidden in the bottom of one of the storage bins that I'd never used.
OPI for Sephora "My Personal Serpent" was used as the base color, 2 coats. Sinful Colors "Green Ocean" was added, 2 coats, and sealed with a nice top coat.

Paper Chasing & Party of Five Glitters
It's been a while since I last posted so I have a lot to catch up on.
My current polish is China Glaze "Paper Chasing", 3 coats. Wet N Wild's "Party of Five Glitters", 2 coats, over the green.

I Miss You
I have no idea what the name of this one is. Apparently it is not on the mini bottles, but it's from the *gasp* Justin Bieber collection. Two coats of this.

Paper Chasing
I recently saw and argyle design and wanted to try it. Unfortunately, I didn't have a polish pen until a couple of days ago when I got paid so I thought I'd give it a try.
It looked SO easy, but I quickly found out that it was much more dificult than I suspected.

China Glaze-Paper Chasing (3 coats)
Ice-White (2 coats) on the ring finger
I used scotch tape to make the argyle shape and then painted 3 coats of the Paper Chasing. After it dried (and it took FOR-EV-ER), I attempted the black lines with a polish pen. It didn't turn out GREAT, but it was decent for a first attempt.
Pink and Black Mesh
Nothing terribly creative with these.

Shocker and Rockstar Pink
The pretty silver nails lasted the entire weekend and finally chipped at the Sounds game last night. I was kind of sad to see that, but excited to do something else. As much as I love the look of glitter, I hate trying to take it off. As you can tell, I still keep going back to it though.
Rimmel 60 Second "Shocker" -base (1 coat)
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear- 2 coats
I won't always use the latest, greatest and most expensive polishes. That was just proven by using the Rimmel. It's hard to tell how long I've had that color, but as long as it still works, I'm not going to throw it out for something "new". (I think that's where this blog may be different from many others out there. They all seem to concentrate on the latest shades.)

Positive Energy and Queen of Beauty
I've been feeling rather "blah" about my nails. They haven't really been anything all that special this week because sometimes I just don't have a lot of time to spend on them. However, even though they are "plain" today, they're still really fun.
Nicole by OPI-Positive Energy is the base silver (2 coats)
Sinful Colors-Queen of Beauty is the silver glitter (3 coats)

Happy Ending & Call You Later
Three polishes went into the making of today's nails.
Sinful Colors--Happy Ending is the greeen "base" polish
Sinful Colors--Call You Later is the green glitter polish
Pure Ice-- I can't remember what it's called, is the teal-ish glitter polish
I wanted something bright and colorful to match the shirt I wanted to wear today so I sat down with my two storage containers to find just the right combination. That's a LOT of glitter on my nails and I will probably HATE trying to take it all off later, but for now, I am pleased with how they turned out.

Gumdrop & Show Girl
Two of my newest polishes, Gumdrop & Show Girl, both from ORLY. I wasn't sure exactly what I was going to do when I started painting last night, but I knew I wanted to use both colors. This is what I decided on. Show Girl was a little thin and required 3 coats. Gumdrop was only 2 coats. Everything was freehand, tips & polka dots included.
